gmt-coast-low software package provides Low resolution coastlines for the Generic Mapping Tools, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gmt-coast-low
gmt-coast-low is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gmt-coast-low package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gmt-coast-low *
You will get with gmt-coast-low package name, version, architecture and description in a table
